Permanent hair removal
Say goodbye to unwanted hair growth!
Most of us have different hair growth on our body from nature. It is very individual whether we feel comfortable with it, or whether we often try to get rid of the hair growth.
For many people, hair growth can be both unwanted and annoying, as traditional shaving can be time-consuming and cause problems such as ingrown hairs, beard plague and irritated skin.
In such cases, permanent hair removal with laser, can be an effective solution. Permanent hair removal not only helps to remove unwanted hair growth, but also with the problems that can arise in connection with traditional hair removal.
What should you be aware of?
It is important to note that permanent laser hair removal cannot be performed on:
- Areas with tattoos, as the laser is attracted to the dark color of the tattoo, which can cause burns to the skin and damage the tattoo.
- Completely fair, gray, or red hair.
- Areas where hair removal has been done with wax, tweezers, electrolysis, or hair removal cream for six weeks before the treatment.
- Areas that have been exposed to sunbathing or solarium within the last 4 weeks.
- Areas that have been treated with, self-tan within the last 2 weeks.

Laser hair removal in several rounds
The reason why laser hair removal requires multiple treatments is due to the different phases that the hair goes through. These phases are called the growth phase, the resting phase, and the rejection phase.
In the growth phase, the hair follicle (follicle) begins to form new hair, which remains under the skin for a period before it begins to grow out. After this phase, the hair follicle rests for a certain time before repeating the process again and forming a new hair. It is important to note that not all hair follicles follow the same schedule in this cycle. As a result, some follicles will be in the growth phase, some will produce new hair, while others will be dormant and therefore contain no hair.
Even with the latest technology, the laser can only affect the hairs in the growth phase. This is because it is only in the growth phase that the hair follicle is active and receptive to the laser’s treatment. As the hairs do not follow the same phase at the same time, only around 20% of the hair follicles are in the growth phase at a time and thus susceptible to the laser’s light.
When you undergo laser treatment, you can therefore not remove all hair follicles at once. For most clients, 8-10 treatments are required to achieve satisfactory results.
